Pavilion Pre-School (Aigburth) was established in 1969 by six young mothers who felt that pre-school facilities were lacking in the area at that time. Today, forty five years on, we have created a wonderful environment where many local children have enjoyed attending Pavilion through the years.
Situated on Dundonald Road, Aigburth, Liverpool, Pavilion Pre-School occupies a lovely, safe and quiet location in the heart of the community. Consisting of a single-storey building, landscaped gardens and an outdoor soft play area, Pavilion Pre-School welcomes all children into a caring environment, where education and play are enjoyed by all.
Pavilion Pre-School is a non profit-making, registered charity, run by a voluntary committee of parents and carers, working alongside our highly qualified and dedicated staff team. Every penny is re-invested into the provision of care, education and play.
At Pavilion Pre-School we provide excellence in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. In our last OFSTED inspection we were very pleased to receive a 'good' overall rating with some 'outstanding' areas.
We always aim to improve and grow as a childcare and education provider, and we are committed to promoting learning and development, whilst striving to achieve excellence in everything we do.
Pavilion Pre-School is proud to be part of the Aigburth community and aims to provide education and experience to many future generations of children.
What happens in our sessions?
Children arrive and settle on the mat where the register is called. This is usually followed by a fun action song. Children then disperse to the role play area, choose books from our library, experience the sensory area, use the computer and play with the wide variety of toys on offer.
Art and craft play a major part in everyday activities. This includes painting, mark making, clay modelling, collage and glueing, and lots, lots more.
We have a lovely, self-contained outdoor play area where the children have lots of choice for fun-filled activities. The children can access this area throughout the morning, where they are supervised at all times. From ball games, scooters and trikes, to slides, buggies, role play, musical play and many more exciting games.
At snack time we actively promote healthy eating. Fruit is always on the snack menu and we always try to include a good variety for the children. We also include fresh vegetables such as carrots, cucumber and tomatoes, grown and picked by the children from our own garden area. Milk and water are the choices of drinks, best for little teeth.

9.00 am - 12.00 am
Fees
Under 3 years old - £18.00 per session
- You will receive an invoice at the beginning of each term that highlights the amount that you are required to pay. Snacks are included in this fee.
- Free early education funding is available for some 2 year olds. A criteria must be met by the child's family in order for this funding to be accessed. For further information, please speak to a member of staff, or contact the Liverpool Family Information Service.
3 years old and over - Free
- Early education funding is available to all children for the term following their third birthday. Every child is entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year.
Snacks
- We charge a small amount to cover snacks. If you are accessing early education funding you will receive an invoice at the beginning of each term that highlights the amount that you are required to pay.
